Notes: Illustrated with 22 pochoirs, 6 with line-block reproductions of ink drawings. Bound in original publisher's illustrated wrappers. Preserved in a new yellow clam-shell cloth box. One of the key illustrated books of the twentieth century, Legér's La Fin du Monde is the essence of modernity. The text was designed as a film script by Blaise Cendrars. The mise-en-page [page layout] and the colour Legér illustrations, combining Cubism and Futurism.
